Nebbiolo d'Alba La Guardia



GRAPE VARIETY: 100 % Nebbiolo with Guyot training system. 

AGING: 40/50 hl oak casks for approx. 30 months 


HARVEST: by hand, first ten days of October. 

APPEARANCE: gentle red with reflections of orange. 

AROMA: velvety, delicate, fragrant with hints of bread crust. 

PALATE: dry, full-bodied, velvety, harmonious and persistent. 


The summit of the hill dominating the Tanaro Valley in Montaldo is known as La Guardia.It is a land where any kind of vine grows well but where we chose to produce our selection of Nebbiola d’Alba.  From this we obtain a subtle, elegant wine. After carefully managing the vine with an expert selection of the best grapes, the traditional fermentation comes next with a lengthy maceration.  This wine will not be bottled before 30 months of patient waiting in oak casks. Ready almost from the outset, it obtains its best character after 3-4 years in a bottle.

 Serve at 20 - 22 °C. Uncork 2 hours
