ROERO ARNEIS d.o.c.g. Stampa E-mail

Piemonte Moscato

GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Arneis with Guyot training system.

AGING: Stainless steel casks.

HARVEST: by hand, mid September.

APPEARANCE: Gentle yellow with greenish reflections.

AROMA:  dominated by flowery aromas, dry herbs, honey and banana.

PALATE: fruity, smooth, full-bodied and persistent.  Pleasant hint of citrus fruits.  Slightly bitter if very young.

The Arneis wine grows on the hillside to the left of the Tanaro River and nowadays is the most commonly found vine on the Roero hills.  It produces small compact bunches that reach their maximum potential in the sandy, calcareous soil especially in very dry years. The grape is only picked in the coolest hours of the morning and is treated with great delicacy and then fermented under controlled temperatures. A dominant characteristic of the Roero Arneis is its refinement and elegance together with its fresh taste.  It is the perfect aperitif with seafood and sea fish.

Serve at 8-10°C.
